The 5-star rated mystery drama 'Magic Circle' (produced by James Hyland and performed alongside Michael Shon) will be opening The Canterbury Festival on Saturday 20th October, 7.30pm at St Mary's Hall Studio Theatre,The Borough, Canterbury, CT1 2EZ. The Canterbury Festival is Kent's International Arts Festival, the largest festival of arts and culture in the region, and one of the most important cultural events in the South East.

Following previews at Harrogate Theatre and the West End premiere at The Hospital Club last year, 'Magic Circle' has received five-star reviews from press and audiences alike. Written for the stage by acclaimed novelist Kim Newman, James Hyland plays the lead role of Inspector Nicholas Gammell, a rational detective with an unsolved case on his books and a suspect in his sights - a suspect who patiently sits within a protective magic circle. Reviewed by UK Theatre Network as "some of the best acting I’ve seen on stage... a truly epic performance", 'Magic Circle' will continue its UK tour at The Canterbury Festival.
'THE SOUND' CONTINUES ITS SUCCESSFUL RUN OF THE WORLDWIDE FESTIVAL CIRCUIT
The new short film 'The Sound', in which James appears opposite Joesph Mawle ('Game of Thrones'), continues its run of the festival circuit with a current total of four nominations for Best Short Film. The film, which follows a young girl desperate to find the source of the haunting sound plaguing her mother, was produced by Noel Clarke's Unstoppable Entertainment in partnership with Brunel University London.
